The Silva Expedition S compass has been improved over the previous version to be ready for any situation. It features a new wrist strap with measurement parameters for quick distance calculation and a special slope curve so you can plan your route in advance, taking into account elevation differences. The compass features a Dryflex™ cable for secure attachment, silicone feet for precise map reading, a removable safety strap, illuminated markings for night driving, a magnifying glass, map scales in millimeters or inches (1:25,000 and 1:50,000), GPS scale and built-in magnetic declination correction (with fixed local correction). The Expedition S model includes a clinometer for measuring slope and a 45° base for use with mirrors. NOTE: All Silva compasses are calibrated for the Northern Hemisphere. Compasses for the Southern Hemisphere must be ordered separately.
